The building was titled: a factory of Good where we revise the gears of the human machine used by life... La Cité-Refuge de l’Armée du Salut, signed par Le Corbusier and Pierre Jeanneret, for a capacity of 600 people, one of the first social building with such a large living space, inaugurated in 1933, is still in operation today. It is the first important building for Le Corbusier in Paris after the "pavillon Suisse de la Cité Internationale" and before "les Cités Radieuses".
