Arnulf Rainer, Dieter Roth MIXING AND SEPARATING

Arnulf Rainer, Austrian painter, is internationally renowned for his abstract informal art. Rainers style evolved towards Destruction of Forms, with blackenings, overpaintings and maskings of illustrations and photographs, dominating his later work. He was close to the Vienna Actionism, featuring body art and painting under drug influence. He did a lot of work on Hiroshima, after the bombing.
Dieter Roth 1930 - 1998, was a Swiss-German artist best known for his artist's books and for his sculptures and pictures made with rotting food. The dark undertone and furious, obsessive energy of his work ultimately separated him from many of the more lighthearted Fluxus artists.
